As a fan of the original Beneath a Steel Sky – arguably one of the greatest point and click adventures of all time, the long-awaited sequel finally shows its face with a gameplay trailer.
Man, Beyond a Steel Sky looks good. Ok, it’s a cinematic, but all the familiar names are back; Charles Cecil and Dave Gibbons are headlining.
It’s a familiar scenario for Robert Foster as he’s been tasked with locating a child who has been kidnapped – something he experienced himself in the first game, only as an adult.
The reimagined world with Charles Cecil at the helm, he of Broken Sword fame, looks like a dusty Mad Max/Borderlands world and juxtaposed with the original towering monstrosities of Union City.
However, Roberts investigation in Beyond a Steel Sky leads him back to the source and once again we’ll be taken on a trip to this dystopian landscape.
Oooh – this is really exciting stuff.
