Alwa’s Legacy Making History This Week

Alwa's Legacy

Alwa’s Legacy is pushed as an 8-bit inspired title, but I’d wager it’s more like a 16-bit flagship model – it’s just sooo pretty.

Indie developer Elden Pixels are curators of classic platform titles, or they’ve managed to wing a pretty polished upcoming title for Steam, GOG and the Nintendo Switch.

Alwa’s Legacy is a return to adventuring shenanigans for the protagonist Zoe, shortly after the events of the first game.

In this sequel to Alwa’s Awakening, she awakes in an unknown land and has to assist the natives so she can return home.

Magic staff in hand, she takes on many enemies, upgrading her skills along the way – should you be an offensive or defensive player, you’re covered, or if you’re a little more curious (not the college kind), you can focus on your exploration skills.

The decision to go full time into game development to make a sequel to Alwa’s Awakening has been very satisfying. Alwa’s Legacy is the great game we’ve always wanted to make with it’s diverse skill tree, expansive level design and gorgeous 16-bit style graphics

As well as bashing enemies over the head with her staff, Zoe has magical abilities such as summoning blocks for platforming fun, bubbles to bounce off of and lightning bolts that will make Zeus wet his pants.

Alwa’s Legacy will be out as soon as the 17th of June on Steam, GOG, and of course, the Nintendo Switch.
