Alwa’s Legacy is pushed as an 8-bit inspired title, but I’d wager it’s more like a 16-bit flagship model – it’s just sooo pretty.
Alwa’s Legacy is a return to adventuring shenanigans for the protagonist Zoe, shortly after the events of the first game.
In this sequel to Alwa’s Awakening, she awakes in an unknown land and has to assist the natives so she can return home.
Magic staff in hand, she takes on many enemies, upgrading her skills along the way – should you be an offensive or defensive player, you’re covered, or if you’re a little more curious (not the college kind), you can focus on your exploration skills.
The decision to go full time into game development to make a sequel to Alwa’s Awakening has been very satisfying. Alwa’s Legacy is the great game we’ve always wanted to make with it’s diverse skill tree, expansive level design and gorgeous 16-bit style graphicsMikael Forslind, Game Designer for Elden Pixels.
As well as bashing enemies over the head with her staff, Zoe has magical abilities such as summoning blocks for platforming fun, bubbles to bounce off of and lightning bolts that will make Zeus wet his pants.
